A little funny story…
Since I called too late to stop NCIX (an online computer store) from couriering a package to me (I picked an option I later changed my mind on), I knew they could possibly come today (Monday) to deliver it…unfortunately I had alot of school volunteer stuff I had to do.
I am usually at home so would have received it….anyways, I got home around 4pm with the kids and sure enough the NCIX box was at the front door, my husband had obviously signed for it.
I said to myself, “Shoot! I have to come up with some valid excuse”
Sure enough he says to me when I go down to his office, “So what’d you get from NCIX?” So I said, “Oh, my friend asked me if her husband (he is a computer techy guy) could put my name on his package and send it to our house because he is working all day all week and they are both never homeso no one would be there to receive it. …I told him okay…so it is for him.”
My husband looks at me oddly and says, “that is weird, what’d he buy?”
“I don’t know, I think he said some drive or something.”
So I go back upstairs and am sitting in the kitchen with the kids and he eventually comes up 1/2 hour later and says with a pout and hunched shoulders, “I thought you were secretly buying something for me as a surprise present.”
I looked at him and said, “oh?…No, I’m sorry.” with a clueless expression. Then I said, “Awww….I’m sorry I disappointed you.”
HA HA! Wait ’til he opens it on SUNDAY (our anniversary).
(What is it? LG GGC-H20L BLU-RAY HD-DVD Drive Reader….something he would never expect me to buy because it’s computer hardware for his personal media centre and will enhance his viewing experience)

being computer mad myself and having had my pc as a surprise Christmas pressie..you can bet he will love it..don’t know much about it though lol..but I do recognise that blu-ray is the latest thing to have

Woo HOo! He was totally surprised and loved it!
I didn’t realize that since I got it for him, he had to upgrade and buy a new video card as well for the image to show on our flat screen tv…but he is so impressed with the colors and image sharpness coming off a blu ray disc!
