This Sunday morning is peaceful, up at six for 31 minutes on the Elliptical, then back upstairs for a cup of coffee and to check my journaling and stats, as he sleeps.
Mom is off to her fifty-mile bike ride at the Elephant Rock Ride this morning, as he sleeps.
I ponder whether to go pull up the truck and begin loading it as he sleeps, because we will be at the Elephant Rock Ride later this morning for the kids’ race and hopefully mom will be done with her ride by the time he starts his race at one or so, as he sleeps.
Last night we had a violent series of storms roll through and pound us with lightning, as he slept. Mom was flipping out thing it was going to be a wet ride, as he sleeps.
Mom has really no choice but to ride this morning because in two weeks she will be on Ride the Rockies, my son and I will be playing Sherpa to her and hauling then setting up nightly camp, which brings me to think about what platform I should use to photo journal then publish her tales from the seat. I have been trying to get Joomla up and running on another web site of mine and have been tossing that around for using it on the ride as well. However, seeing how it is open source software I have been having a dickens of a time trying to get it to work. Oh, I can get it to work right now, but when I shut down the “joomlins “stop by and spread an infection as we sleep, to the point where my SQL become corrupt and I have to up everything via FTP back to the server and this is getting old.
Speaking of Joomla! Moreover, my blog, it has been incredible the amount of traffic the word Joomla! Has brought me via search engines, it almost as if these people have something spidering the web looking for this word and thy go take look.
To wrap this up as he slept, he is now awake and wanting to go to the bike ride, already! Groan says this At Home Dad da; it is only 7:39!

Groan though you may, I know you’re loving it. I split with my son’s mom when he was a year old. Although I did the ‘every other weekend’ thing (except for the years I lived out of state), I missed so much of that experience. It remains one of my major regrets.
Now, sir, what is this disparagement of open source?
I’ve only played with Joomla, because WordPress (another open source package) seemed easier. But I need to revisit Joomla, Drupal and Xoops because they have broader capabilities than WP. Keep us posted on your efforts in this area. And kudos to Mom; I haven’t been on a bike in almost 20 years.

What a wealth of memories you’re collecting! Even if they are from REALLY early in the morning!
You’ll treasure these forever….and miss them when they’re gone.

Just be glad this boy IS asleep until 7:30am. My nephew is up at 5am every morning. He has been trained to stay in his room until 6am. YIKES.
Hope your wife enjoyed her race!

Ha! Yeah, at least he gave you a few hours; I know some kids who are up every day at the crack of dawn… luckily, those days are behind me; my teen now sleeps in longer than me.
