Your Favorite Bands

I was just having a comment conversation with another Buzzer about our music jukeboxes on our profile pages. She mentioned wanting to change her tunes up because they were getting stale. I also had this same issue when I used programs like Project Playlist so I ended up switching my jukebox over to my custom Slacker.com radio station. At Slacker you can add your favorite bands to your own stations and they will randomly select songs from them. It’s never stale - like iTunes on shuffle!

Currently I have 106 bands on my station. When you add a band, Slacker pulls up a list of suggested bands from similar genres so you will sometimes see a band that you had forgotten about and can add them, too.

I want to add some artists to my station that I have yet to discover or have forgotten about. What are your favorite bands? Maybe I will like them, too, and we can rock out together! Hopefully Slacker.com will have them in their collection.

Hot Dog! by They Might Be Giants just came on my Slacker station. My kids’ ears perked up thinking Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was coming on the computer! LOL

Motley Cruuuuuueeeeeeeeee!!!!, Sixx A.M., Brides of Destruction, ummmm okay anything with Nikki Sixx in it lol. Lets see, there’s RATT, The CULT, KISS, Poison, Warrant, AC/DC, Bad Company and George Strait, don’t ask, even i don’t get how he fits in there. I think it’s his jeans though.

and…….Yes i AM stuck in the 80’s as a matter of fact. I dated the hottest guy in school,i was 105 pounds and i wore my leather with pride lol. It was a great time for me…

As soon as I saw the word slacker, I signed up. I’m not sure what I signed up for, but it sounded like a good fit. Me, slacker…

Actually, this is really cool. i just signed up on playlist, but their interface is a PIA. I’m probably going to dump them today. I hope they don’t take it too hard.

That’s a great suggestion. Sounds like Pandora Radio, but I couldn’t figure out how to widget it.

I’m a huge Wilco fan and I also love Arcade Fire, Flogging Molly, and The Dandy Warhols.

Peg or Meg, it is very similar to Pandora and thanks for the band suggestions! I have Wilco on my station and will now add the other 3 on you mentioned that I forgot about!
