Four years ago next month a father from Chicago, his son and daughter, and another girl drowned in this Fort Worth, Texas, Water Gardens pool after the daughter fell into the water. A chain reaction of lifesaving turned into tragedy. Below the first woman coming up the steps is a pool with suction to send water to another waterfall on the 5 acre grounds.
I had many shots worthy of a photo of the day, but this one seemed to matter the most.

I remember when that happened. A sad day, indeed.

Amazing photo! You captured a beautiful scene even if it came out of tragedy.

I feel sorry for the architect. Have they made any changes to prevent such a tragedy in the future?

Yes, the pool fountain pool was made safer and reopened with a depth of 2ft instead of 9ft.
