Hey, women! Here we find ourselves in the "women" community, but I feel like we've got a long ways to go before we really start becoming a COMMUNITY. There are only 15 of us here, and it seems like it would require very little effort for us to start getting to know each other.
And so, I bring up the old challenge again--I challenge each of us to get to know just one new person from our community every day--go to their profile, rate their stuff, check out their blog and websites. And then return, and report! Not so hard, right?
I can hardly wait to start getting to know all of you!!!
I guess knowing you doesn't count Brill? Hahah just kidding.
Challenge accepted!
Who shall i pick on first . . .
ok, ok, challenge accepted my dear.
Not today though, far too busy and tired - can you believe I actually got some writing done today! and it was good stuff too - I think... Yippee!
Had to unplug the internet to get it done mind you. Just plugged it back in to have a quick peek (couldn't resist) before bedtime. g'night.
I didn't realize there were so few of us in the women's community.... how odd.
Though sadly I will have to start tomorrow and continue on Tuesday, today and this weekend are shaping up to be CRAZY.
There, and now you all know something about me, crazy weekend of home improvement ahead... :)
Look for me to start popping by your sights and saying hello soon!
I think that is a great idea!! I LOVE meeting new people.. this truly has been the highlight of my day!
How exciting! I love the idea. I am not sure if this is the place for me to ask for someone to clarify "rating". What does it mean and what is the benefit of a higher rating? Forgive me...I'm a newbie!
Brillig you're brilliant! (Hee hee - sometimes I make me, myself, and I giggle. Sorry, must be getting late.) I will get to it!
P.S. I'm kinda with Fragrance Diva on the rating thing. How does it work - what increases or decreases your rating?
I have my first report for you.
Today I decided to pick on Polliwog. I have seen her around a lot, first at mybloglog and then here but to be honest I never really spent much time at her blog. Couldn't tell you why, just the way it turned out I guess. Well it seems I have been missing out. Her Cre8buzz profile is a little bare - no pictures, videos or such like for me to poke around in but her blog, Polliwog's Pond, is a good read; sometimes lighthearted and sometimes not so, just the way I like it. She has a nice, easy to read writing style that just sort of takes you along with it and a cute blog design.
8 Interesting facts about Polliwog.
- Polliwog is the mother to 6 (count them 6) children but is determined not to let that define who she is. She uses her little bit of the internet as an outlet that has nothing to do with being a mom.
- She has at one point in her life lived in Alaska (I must remember to ask her more about that - sounds very interesting)
- The lady that married her and her husband had a tree with shoes nailed to it.
- Her blog has been certified by Santa.(WTF?)
- She often starts her posts with parts of poems, songs or quotes which makes me think that she is a lot better read than I.
- She was once terrorised by some chap she had never had contact with before via mybloglog.
- she is obsessed with the colour pink
- She can't whistle, blow bubbles or talk and think at the same time - her words not mine ;)
She also has another blog called 'Carnival of good Stuff' which looks interesting but I don't have the time to spend delving through just yet.
all in all, she sounds like a very interesting woman who would be great fun to sit and chat with. I am looking forward to getting to know her better.
GREAT report, FW! Well done! I'm already a huge fan of Polli's--and I think everyone on the planet ought to be reading her stuff!
The challenge is a great idea. Since I just joined up yesterday I have quiet a bit of "getting to know you" to do. I'll be working on that during MJ's naps. lol
