Although I enjoy being a dad to my 13 year old son, in my life there is another dimension as well. I am the step-dad to 3 beautiful girls (16,14 and 9). Being around all these girls, really gives me whole new outlook on how different girls are to boys in more ways than I imagined. They have such passion in so much of what they believe is true to them in their lives. They can melt my heart with just a word and then 5 seconds later drive me crazy with their bickering and fighting with each other. What I always see though, no matter what the situation, is that they show love in all that they do. Something boys (and most men usually) don't learn till much later in life.
I have also learned so much from them about myself and how I react ( or don't react) to certain things that come up during that daily life. It is just another way in which they bring out the very best in me and and make me see things about myself that I never knew before.
Any step dads out there that want to step in?
