I don't know about you but I always seem to get shafted when it comes to holiday gifts. I always go out of my way to make it special for my wife and in turn I get the worst gifts ever. We resorted to making lists for each other (I get her EVERYTHING she wants and then some, and she gets me nothing off the list).
I feel shafted...and now that the holidays are fast approaching...what do I do? Do I give her bad gifts this one time to make a point? Nah...I can't be that vindictive to the woman I love. Any ideas?
Oh, that sucks. I am afraid I don't have any wisdom to share here as I DO NOT find myself in the same boat. My wife is the best gift giver. I always feel inadequate when I compare what I give her v. what she gives me.
Thankfully this year, we are not exchanging gifts.

aahh you see that is not the way it works in my house. My wife says she does not want anything, yet what I hear is "Buster...you better get me something good".
I am in the same boat as PG. I feel like my wife always out does me in the gift giving department.
Yeah...me and the gift shafting are headed on a collision course once again this year.
Well, what my wife and I do is one present for the both of us and then we have a cap on the "small" presents. For example, this year we bought a new tv (HD 40", she pushed the issue and yes I know I've got a good one!), then this year we cap the Christmas day gifts at $20. But that is arbitrary and can be changed to suit your own budget.

Seriously it is hard for my wife because I am super picky about what I want so we do the list thing and have for a while. Some years we have done the one big gift for both of us but generally we do the list thing.
Remember something good does not have to be expensive. Get her one of those photo books with pics of the kids. Chicks dig that ;-) Actually that is saved best for Mothers Day.
My wife and I don't exchange gifts at all with one another on Christmas. We figure we do enough during the year.
I feel the same way. The sky is the limit, its the one time of year that money shouldnt matter. Diamonds, A laptop, a camera, IPod, etc etc.
Then I get a sweater and a VW bug CD player.

Its not the money... but more what you really WANT, not what you need. And trust me, I DROP HINTS.
This year I got the same "I dont want anything, I dont have an idea..."
So Im on my own and screwed. Meanwhile she has a laundry list of things she can choose from for me.
Frustrating. But, as always with marriage.. SMILE!
