Moms Forum Topic of the Week - Introductions
March 13, 2008 07:34

Hi all and welcome to the Cre8Buzz Moms' Forums TOTW! This is a chance for us to get to know each other, share ideas, rant if necessary... you get the picture.

I'll put our first "official" TOTW up on Sunday evening. This board is here to serve as a chance for people to say hi, introduce themselves, get acquainted, etc. If you have an idea for a topic you'd like to see, please send me a message or leave a comment on my profile!

So let's jump right in! Tell us your name, your age, your location, how many kids you have, what you love to do...

I am the Hot Librarian, so called for my rebellion against the librarian stereotype of frump and my master's in library science. I currently work two days a week on the education side of the library world and am enrolled in a PhD program for information science. You can call me HL, I'm down with that (or "Cate" if you insist... I'm okay with my real name too).

I have one daughter, the E. She is 16 months old. Becoming a mother changed me in ways I did not anticipate and I can't wait to have more children. E is my life's joy.

I am married to an awesome man, my best friend for many years before we became romantically involved. He's TheBirdMan on the Buzz, and you can find him... shocking!... in the "birds" area. We live in Missouri while he wraps up his PhD, but he graduates in May so we will be relocating (to a YTBD location) soon.

I love cooking and baking, playing outside, dogs, reality television (the shame!), celebrity gossip and books.

If you've gotten this far in my rambling, congrats! You get a cookie. Now... who are you?

Hi, I'm Tanya. I'm 41 and married my high school sweetheart right out of high school, not because we had to,lol. We were both born and raised in San Diego. He went in the Marine Corps and we were stationed only 3 hours from home in 29 Palms. In 2001 we moved to Missouri to get away from California. He has family in Mo. We loved it there. A job offer brought us to Georgia and we've been here since 2005. We have 4 kids, Ashlyn 13, Christian 10 and identical twin boys Braden and Dalton 6 and they were born in Missouri. They are our little hillbillies, lol. Actually, Dalton came up with his own nickname a couple years back "hillbilly D" and Braden is "yo B" lol. I'm a sahm and dying to find something to do. I'm wanting to take painting classes and waiting patiently for my friend to start her classes up next month, hopefully. I love being crafty/artsy, just never seem to have time, or make time. I guess that's probably enough about me, lol...I look forward to making new friends here :)

Hi Tanya! A MO to GA move is on our list of possibilities. I'll keep you posted...

Hey! I'm Tara and I've been married for almost 22 years to my first and only blind date. We have two kids - a girl, 18 and a college freshman, and a boy, 14, a high school freshman. We live in Northwest Florida on the Gulf Coast - hurricane alley. I'm a Web content writer and a martial arts instructor. I love reading and blogging - don't have much time for anything else.

thanks for getting this started HL...

Everything's already in my about me! :) I'm Maria, I'm 23, I have two daughters [Rosario:2 and Isabella:4]. I've been married for about 5 years to Jason and we living in Wilmington, NC.

I'm an internet addict and I write freelance for a few bucks here and there. I'm an armchair activist for many causes other than animal welfare -where I take active roles in rescue and anti-breed specific legislation.

Umm...I think that's it. lol

Hot Librarian-Great idea!

I'm Honeybell, 36 year old mother of two, full time stepmother to two more. They are all boys (yes, please feel sorry for me) ages 12,9,6, & 2.

I'm an LPN (licensed practical nurse) and I work on an OB unit, well baby nursery. Right now I'm also going to school full time to become an RN. (I know, the Prozac was working a little too well or something).

We live in Kansas, were I spend every free second on the internet, and I'm totally guilty of ignoring Cre8buzz for far too long!

Well, HL, thanks for inviting the Women over here too! Love to be included!

I'm Jenna. I'm the oldest of 9 children, which means I'm bossy and organized. But now I have 4 kids of my own (14, 12, 8, 1 1/2), plus 2 stepkids (12, 10), so maybe more bossy and less organized? Hoping to switch things around.

I was married for 11 years and unexpectedly divorced when I had three kids...this set me on a wild ride of figuring out life. After being single for about 4 years, I met my current husband on the internet, and moved to CA after we got married.

We have a yours, mine, and ours family. No one told me it would be so hard. Or so much fun! I guess life never really does work out the way you plan it, and it really is what you make of it.

I'm almost 35. We live in the Los Angeles area. It's March and already way too hot. In my spare time (ha! 6 kids, yeah right!) I love to read, write, play the piano, garden, bake, and pretty much anything else domestic. I love to travel, but I'm just as happy being a homebody. And I love American Idol. :)

Love to everyone! :)

Hi! I am Sexy Housewife. I am 38 years old. Married for 17 years, 3 kids ages 18, 12, 8. We live in Minnesota, the frozen but soon to thaw north. I like to read, blog (duh), garden, take my kids to educational places, and cook. I spend my time volunteering at the kids' schools and our church and keeping the house running smoothly.
