Ok, I'm going to be 47 this month, and it appears that I need hormone replacement therapy. For symptoms I wont go into because I'm sure nobody really cares, the point is this - for the last 3.5 years my doctors have put me on terrible meds. for everything but hormones and now I have all kinds of problems and still have no resolution. Why is it that we as women cannot get a break! First we have to deal with getting our periods and PMS, cramps (some of us worse than others)than, those lovely child bearing years when we get to put on tons of weights that many of us cannot get rid of even if the cows did come home. Now I'm looking to solve what seems to be the undending question, what to do and who is the person who really knows what they are doing who can help me and really cares?? I could go on but for now I will just be the fat lady with the hormone migraine who sang...until next time.

Have you tried going to a holistic health practitioner? A lot of them are not covered by insurances, but since they don't use a whole lot of tests (like xrays and stuff)...its a lot cheaper usually. That, and they acct for not having or using insurance.

Just a thought...they look at the root of the problem...not just the symptoms.
