As we are supposed to be testing this site and giving our opinions on it here a few of my thoughts on Cre8Buzz after spending just a couple of days playing around with it. Please feel free to agree, disagree, discuss, challenge, whatever -
They need to sort out the Cre8Buzz blog section. Whenever I try to edit a post it publishes the post a second time and I have to go back and delete the original. Grrr.
I would like to see a decent help or FAQ section as well as an area in the forum (one that shows up in all communities forums) where people can ask questions or offer advise on using Cre8Buzz.
I love the fact that people have to be approved by you before they can send you a message and the fact that you can only join one community at a time - these should really cut down on spammers when this goes live.
What about you? Have you noticed anything that you think is missing or is there something you love / hate about Cre8buzz?
Keith is a total pain in the ass, and that Antman guy, oy!!! Annoying!!
:P
Beyond that..
You have already touched down on a lot of it. The lack of an FAQ, the need to move the forum link.
Moderators would be a good idea, but they've let me know they prefer it be unmoderated and let the community police itself. With 10 years of message board experience under my belt I am less than thrilled with the idea, but what can ya do?
I have had the double-post error but only once, so I assumed it was a fluke.
LOVE...The top rated blog post box, that is fairly new. I'd like to somehow see something for newest blog posts as well, or the lesser rated ones won't get their chance to even be looked at.
The forum itself is a recent addition, and I just wish it was used a little more. I assume it will be when they change the link location.
The site has come a long way in a very short time, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

Lol, I haven't met Kieth I don't think but I am starting to feel a little like I'm trapped in a bad 80's movie when with the way Antman talks.
the "yo, yo , yo, whaz up?" stuff is getting a little tired already, I mean seriously, I'm 27 years dude not 12!
Lets hope they move that link locatio for the forum soon as I'm not sure that most people even realise there are more forum posts than those top 8. I would love to see the forum take off as I'm sure it's where the most feeling of community is going to come from and how we are going to get to know each other better and share stuff.
They really do need moderators though. I understand the letting the community moderate itself but you need someone, even if it's a rolling list of volunteers from each community, to have the power to remove spam and abuse and some sort of report button to make the moderators aware of the problems.
Newest blog posts for each community is a great idea! that way everybody gets a chance to get their name on the front page and it might encourage people to use it more.
I was very skeptical when I first read about it on your blog but am coming round to it pretty fast. It could be so much more than a social networking site which are all the rage for a few months and then get dropped when they don't deliver, it could be a real community.
I shall be writing some more blog posts today about yesterdays experiences...
Bwahahahah..Have I told you yet I REALLY like you?? :D
aww, yesterday it was love, today like.
What happened?
;)
I'm a bit fickle that way! :D
I third the desire for a moderator.
Also, know it's been addressed but would love to be able to change the font color -- trying to find a nice background so that the grey font will show up but not having much luck so far.
(Farmer's Wife: I can't 'click' anything on your page -- I'm trying to "Become Friends" but it's not working nor is any of your other buttons...)
So how has this testing thing been going to you? Found anything else that needs sorting or that you love?
re the forums: as your an old hand are these things and will probably have some good insight plus seem to be the only other person apart from me here this weekend.
I think it would be nice to be able to see an overall menu for the forums so that you can easily navigate between different communities forums and not just your own. For example there was a fun 'post about nothing' going on over at the bikes forum and it would make life easier I think than having to click through to bikes first and then into the forum. Or are we to be relegated to just our own community forums in the future maybe?
I was also thinking it would be nice to somehow be able to see when new threads and replies were posted in your communities forum, maybe on your edit profile page?
What do you think?
Jackie: really? How odd. I know it has been working because people have managed to befriend me. Shall investigate.
I think being able to choose things like font colours, background colours etc would be great - it was pretty much the first thing I thought when I started here, being vain about things like that.
I would imagine that by now they are doing something about it but it doesn't hurt to keep plugging away.
Has anybody else noticed that after you request to become someones freind you can no longer view their profile until they accept?
I wonder why that is and also what happens if they decline? Are you forever banned from their profile?
Speaking of banning, another useful feature would be the ability to block users that we don't want seeing our profile or add comments to them. That sounds really bad, I don't have anyone in mind honest, just thinking ahead for when it goes live.
