I have been running my online handmade handbag business, byKimLane.com, for a few years and business has been very good. Recently, I've discovered that I am at the point where I would like to take my site a new direction. I really want to promote indie designers and crafters but am trying to come up with a concept that will achieve that without seeming like a copycat to so many other sites out there...like craft carnivals or giveaways.

Think about what you'd like to see or what you think might be a good idea to help promote your biz and let me know. I'm open to any suggestions!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an indie designer or crafter?

I'm doing the same thing with my blog. =] I like to promote handmade stores and businesses. It's tough! But soooo rewarding. I post products and stores that I like, and do interviews but it really depends on what you want to achieve with that. I do it to encourage others to start crafting.
