I would like to get the whole craft community involved in the February Challenge. If you have any suggestions for an exciting and successful assignment, let me know.

I received the following helpful advice from Jackal:

<State clearly what the assignment is and set out clear guidelines for everyone to follow in a thread. These can be adjusted if necessary as more ideas appear. Post guidelines as a reminder at each assignment. More people may join in the following month and will need to know guidelines. Important to include things like deadlines etc...

<Ask submissions to have 'assignment' somewhere in title.

<Ask those who participate to post a link in thread when they have uploaded their image.

<Encourage all who submit to offer comments on other submissions.

<Promote assignment in forum and use 'ask a question' feature.

<Lead by example.

<Encourage others to come up with assignment ideas. get folks involved. Ask for opinions on how to make assignments challenging.

Rules for the February Crafting Assignment: RECYCLED HOME DEC

1. The crafted object must have at least one recycled item in it.
2. The item must be tasteful, not obscene nor offensive.
3. A photograph must be included in the submission.
4. A description of the item must include its purpose (if it has one) and what inspired it (if it was indeed inspired).
5. A list of materials including the recycled item must be included, as well as a brief description of the methods employed to create it.
6. The object must be finished during the month of February, and entered by March 1st.
7. The object should be made by you, the cre8buzz member. You may enter another person’s work, but it will not be eligible for the prize.
8. Underage cre8buzz members may apply, but need to get parental permission.

The crafted objects will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Attractiveness
2. Functionality
3. Form

Yup, I agree with Trysh, it's all good. I have a project in mind that I have put off doing for several years. Looks like I've finally found the motivater to drag it out and get going on it. =^)
