Just checking in to see what is happening for November. Any topic ideas? Thoughts on the timing of it all?

This monthly shoot project is great for community building.

It's getting all chilly out and I get sentimental in November.

I think of family, warmth, community, and food. Something along those lines would be great. Too cheesy?

I'm with jessabean - I like the food idea. Very cheesy (pun intended)!

Can we extend it to 2 weeks rather than 1 this time around? Seems like quite a few of us would have liked a bit more time. That would still give 2 weeks to come up with a topic.

I don't think it should take 2 weeks to decide on a topic. At the most we should make it a week with 3 weeks to shoot, or start deciding the last week of the month for the following month and have 4 weeks to shoot.

But I'm up for whatever the group decides. I'm easy!

Food would be a good topic. That is making me hungry. I think 2 weeks would be a good time allowance as I was rushed to get my photos done last time.

I think food sounds like a lot of fun! Maybe in unexpected places just for a twist?

I thought it would be nice to iron out the details and have this available to everyone, as I hope that each month we'll have more participants! The following is just how it seems to be shaping up thus far...please leave feedback and let me know if you think things should be different, if I've missed something, etc. I'll continue to revise this post. Hopefully we can make it a sticky.

1.) Assignment topic will be decided by in a forum thread during the first two weeks of the month.

2.) On the second Friday of the month, the theme will be announced; the due date will be the third Friday of each month.

3.) Image must be taken during that week prior to assignment due date.

4.) Please submit only one image per assignment.

5.) Post your photo on your page, and leave a post on the corresponding thread here so other participants know to go to your page and check it out!

6.) Visit other participant's pages...and please leave constructive comments for them. This can be a wonderful learning opportunity for us all, so the critiquing portion is as important an element as anything.

Is seems most would prefer a longer window of opportunity to shoot for two weeks instead of one. So what does everyone think... should the guidelines be revised to first week of month decide topic. Second two weeks to shoot? Christine?

I'd like to take part too, and would like it if the guidelines were changed so that the topic is decided in the first week of the month and then we have 2 weeks to shoot our picture. Jo
